Olajide Olayinka Williams Olatunji (born 19 June 1993), known as KSI, is a British online star, boxer, and musician. He is a co-founder of the YouTube group Sidemen. KSI is also the CEO of Misfits Boxing. He co-owns several businesses, including Prime Hydration and Lunchly.
Born in London and raised in Watford, KSI went to Berkhamsted School. He started his main YouTube channel, KSIOlajidebt, in 2009. He became popular by making commentary videos about the FIFA video game series. Later, his videos included vlogs and funny skits.
In 2019, The Sunday Times ranked him as the second most influential online creator in the UK. In 2021, Forbes included him in their "30 Under 30 Europe" list for entertainment. Forbes later ranked him as the second-top creator of 2023. As of July 2025, he has over 44 million subscribers and 14 billion video views across his three active YouTube channels.
KSI started making hip-hop music in 2011. His song "Lamborghini" (with P Money) became a hit in 2015. His first EP, Keep Up (2016), reached number one on the UK R&B Albums Chart. His first studio album, Dissimulation (2020), reached number two on the UK Albums Chart. His second album, All Over the Place (2021), debuted at number one and was certified platinum. Its songs "Don't Play" and "Holiday" both reached number two on the UK Singles Chart. He has had fourteen top 40 singles in the UK. In 2024, he received the Brit Billion Award for over one billion music streams in the UK. He also appeared in the comedy film ... in America (2016). Several documentaries have been made about him, including Amazon Prime Video's In Real Life (2023).
He had an amateur boxing match against Joe Weller in February 2018. He then fought American YouTuber Logan Paul twice. The second fight in November 2019 was a professional match, which KSI won. In August 2022, he fought two opponents in one night, beating rapper Swarmz and boxer Luis Alcaraz Pineda. In 2023, he fought FaZe Temperrr in January and Joe Fournier in May. He lost to Tommy Fury in October 2023.

Early Life and Family
Olajide Olayinka Williams Olatunji was born on 19 June 1993 in London. He grew up in Watford, Hertfordshire. His father, Olajide Olatunji, is from Ibadan, Nigeria. His mother, Olayinka Olatunji, is from Islington, London. His family is from the Yoruba ethnic group. He went to Reddiford School and Berkhamsted School. There, he met Simon Minter, who would later join the Sidemen.
KSI's younger brother, Deji, is also a YouTuber and professional boxer. In 2015, Tubular Labs named the brothers the top two "UK's Most Influential YouTube Creators."
YouTube and Online Journey
Starting on YouTube with FIFA Videos

KSI created his first YouTube account in 2008. He started his current channel on 24 July 2009, named KSIOlajidebt. He uploaded videos of himself playing the FIFA video game series. He would add his own commentary from his bedroom in Watford. The name "KSI" comes from "Knowledge Strength Integrity," which was a name from a Halo gaming group.
He left college to focus on his YouTube career when he started earning good money. In 2014, he said he was making about £1,500 a month from YouTube. This was more than his teacher earned. His parents were not happy at first, but they later supported him. They even appeared in some of his videos. KSI later started making more vlog-style videos and played different games. By 2012, his channel had reached one million subscribers.
KSI's early rise to fame had some challenges. He faced criticism for some of his older content and comments. This led to apologies and changes in his approach. He stated his desire to move on and be known for his positive content.
Joining the Sidemen and Growing Online
In October 2013, KSI joined Maker Studios. On 19 October 2013, he became part of the British YouTube group called the Sidemen. The group makes online videos, often featuring challenges, funny skits, and video game commentary. They also sell their own Sidemen merchandise.
In July 2014, KSI and Comedy Central UK launched KSI: Demolished. This was a five-episode web series where British comedians made fun of KSI. In August 2014, Variety magazine reported that KSI was the fourth most popular person among U.S. teenagers. In September 2015, Business Insider ranked KSI 15th on their list of "The 15 most popular YouTubers in the world." A year later, in November 2016, he was ranked first on their list of "The 19 biggest British YouTube stars."
In 2019, The Sunday Times ranked him second among the top 100 UK influencers. In 2020, The Times called KSI Britain's biggest influencer. In April 2021, he was on Forbes "30 Under 30 Europe" list for entertainment. In September 2023, Forbes ranked KSI as the second top creator of the year. He earned an estimated $24 million. In July 2024, KSI appeared in a MrBeast YouTube video called "50 YouTubers Fight for $1,000,000."
Music Career
Early Songs and EPs
KSI had been writing and producing songs for his YouTube channel since 2011. He released his first single, "Lamborghini", with British grime artist P Money, on 23 March 2015. The song reached number 30 on the UK Singles Chart.
"Keep Up", the main song for his first extended play (EP) of the same name, was released on 13 November 2015. It featured Jme and reached number 45 on the UK Singles Chart. The full EP was released on 8 January 2016. It debuted at number 13 on the UK Albums Chart and number one on the UK R&B Albums Chart.
On 29 April 2016, KSI released "Goes Off" with Mista Silva. This was the first song from his second EP, Jump Around. The second song from the EP, "Friends with Benefits", with MNDM, came out on 29 July 2016. It reached number 69 on the UK Singles Chart. The full EP was released on 28 October 2016. One of the EP's songs, "Touch Down", featuring Stefflon Don, was on the soundtrack for the 2017 film Baywatch.
Independent Music and First Album
On 23 June 2017, KSI released "Creature" on his own. It reached number 100 on the UK Singles Chart. "Creature" was the first song from his third EP, Space, released on 30 June 2017. On 6 October that year, KSI released his fourth EP, Disstracktions. This EP included songs making fun of other Sidemen members. It reached number 31 on the UK Albums Chart and number one on the UK R&B Albums Chart.
On 12 April 2019, KSI released a collaborative album with Randolph called New Age. It debuted at number 17 on the UK Albums Chart.
On 4 November 2019, KSI signed with RBC Records and BMG. This was to "take [his] music to the next level." On 8 November 2019, "Down Like That", featuring Rick Ross, Lil Baby and S-X, was released. It was performed live as KSI's entrance music for his boxing match against Logan Paul.
The song reached number 10 on the UK Singles Chart. It was certified silver for selling 200,000 units. On 15 December, KSI, Miniminter, TBJZL, and Zerkaa released a Christmas song called "The Gift" as the Sidemen. It charted at number 77 in the UK. Three more songs came out before the album: "Wake Up Call" with Trippie Redd, "Poppin" with Lil Pump and Smokepurpp, and "Houdini" with Swarmz and Tion Wayne. "Houdini" debuted at number six and was certified silver.
KSI's first studio album, Dissimulation, was released on 22 May 2020. The album debuted at number two on the UK Albums Chart. It was the UK's best-selling first album by a British artist in 2020. It has been certified gold for selling 100,000 units. The album had two more UK top 40 songs: "Cap" with Offset, and "Killa Killa" with Aiyana-Lee.
KSI was featured on "Lighter" by British DJ Nathan Dawe. The song reached number three on the UK Singles Chart. It became one of the UK's best-selling songs of 2020. It was certified platinum and nominated for "Best British Single" at the 2021 BRIT Awards. KSI also featured on "Loose" by S1mba, which reached number 14.
All Over the Place and Recent Releases
On 23 October 2020, KSI released "Really Love" with Craig David and Digital Farm Animals. It was the first song from his second album and reached number three on the UK Singles Chart. It has been certified gold. On 15 January 2021, he released "Don't Play" with Anne-Marie and Digital Farm Animals. This song debuted at number two, becoming his highest-charting single in the UK. It has been certified platinum. On 12 March 2021, KSI released "Patience" featuring Yungblud and Polo G. It debuted at number 3 and was certified silver.
On 26 April 2021, KSI announced his second album, All Over the Place, released on 16 July that year. It debuted at number 1 on the UK Album Charts, his first chart-topper. It has been certified gold. On 18 June 2021, KSI released "Holiday", which was on the album's platinum edition. It debuted at number 2, his highest-charting solo single. On 6 August 2021, KSI released "Lose" with American rapper Lil Wayne. This song reached number 18 in the UK and debuted at number 86 on the Billboard Hot 100. This was KSI's first song to enter that chart.
On 6 May 2022, KSI was featured on "Locked Out" by S-X. This song reached number 53 on the UK Official Charts. On 30 May, it was announced that KSI signed with Atlantic Records and Warner Music UK. On 5 August, KSI released "Not Over Yet" featuring Tom Grennan. It charted at number four on the UK Single Charts. A remix with Headie One and Nines was released on 28 August. On 30 September, KSI released "Summer Is Over." On 5 December, KSI, TBJZL, and Vikkstar123 released a Christmas song called "Christmas Drillings" as the Sidemen, featuring Jme. It charted at number 3 in the UK. On 27 January 2023, KSI released "Voices" featuring Oliver Tree. On 13 May, KSI released "Easy" with Bugzy Malone and R3HAB.
On 31 August 2024, KSI performed at MF & DAZN: X Series 17. He showed two new songs, "Low" and "Thick of It", featuring Trippie Redd. On 3 October, both songs were released. "Thick of It" received negative feedback. On 19 November, KSI received the Brit Billion Award for over one billion music streams in the UK. On 13 December, KSI released his third single of the year, "Dirty". This song was liked more after the negative response to "Thick of It". On 23 January 2025, "Thick of It" was nominated for Song of the Year at The BRIT Awards 2025. On 30 May, KSI released two more songs, "Catch Me If You Can" and "So Far Away," the latter featuring S-X.
Boxing Career
First Fight Against Joe Weller
KSI and British YouTuber Joe Weller had disagreements in late 2017. After arguments on Twitter, they announced an amateur boxing match for 3 February 2018 in London. This was to settle their feud. KSI won the fight by technical knockout in the third round. After the fight, KSI showed respect for Weller. He then challenged American YouTubers Logan Paul, his brother Jake Paul, and retired footballer Rio Ferdinand.
Two Fights Against Logan Paul
On 24 February 2018, it was announced that KSI would fight Logan Paul in an amateur boxing match. The fight ended in a majority draw.
A rematch happened on 9 November 2019 in Los Angeles. This time, it was a professional fight without headgear. KSI was trained by professional boxers Viddal Riley and Jeff Mayweather. KSI defeated Paul by split decision.
Return to Boxing After a Break
KSI vs Swarmz & Pineda
On 1 July 2022, it was announced that KSI would fight Alex Wassabi on 27 August 2022. This was the main event for MF & DAZN: X Series 001. However, Wassabi had a concussion, so Swarmz replaced him on 6 August. This was the first event for KSI's promotion company, Misfits Boxing.
On 16 August, it was announced that KSI would fight a second opponent that night. His first choice, Ivan Nikolov, was removed due to inappropriate tattoos. On 20 August, Mexican professional boxer Luis Alcaraz Pineda was announced as KSI's second opponent. KSI defeated Swarmz by KO in the second round. He then defeated Alcaraz Pineda by KO in the third round.
KSI vs Temperrr
On 19 November, it was announced that KSI would fight Dillon Danis on 14 January 2023. However, Danis pulled out on 4 January due to not being ready. KSI then defended his title against Brazilian YouTuber and FaZe Clan founder FaZe Temperrr. KSI defeated Temperrr by KO in the first round.
KSI vs Fournier
On 22 March, it was announced that KSI would fight businessman and professional boxer Joe Fournier on 13 May. KSI originally won by KO in the second round. However, replays showed KSI used an illegal elbow strike. On 15 May, Fournier appealed the decision. On 19 May, the Professional Boxing Association (PBA) officially changed the fight to a no-contest.
First Loss Against Tommy Fury
On 28 July, it was announced that KSI would fight Tommy Fury on 14 October. Fury defeated KSI by a majority decision. On 15 October, the results were changed to a unanimous decision victory for Fury. The event sold 1,300,000 pay-per-views.
After the fight, KSI said the result was a "robbery." Many online and at the event agreed with KSI. On 19 October, KSI appealed to the Professional Boxing Association (PBA). On 1 December, the PBA rejected the appeal.
Cancelled Fights
On 2 June 2024, KSI said he would return to boxing in August. He was in talks to fight former champion Amir Khan. On 8 June, KSI confirmed Khan would not be his opponent for August. He then challenged American internet personalities Slim Albaher and Anthony Taylor to a 2 vs. 1 match. On 30 June 2024, the fight was confirmed. However, on 1 August, KSI announced he had to withdraw due to an injury.
On 3 January 2025, Misfits Boxing announced KSI's next fight would be revealed on 18 January. News broke that former footballer Wayne Bridge was set to fight KSI on 29 March. KSI and Bridge had a confrontation, but two days later, Bridge withdrew due to comments made by KSI. On 4 February, Dillon Danis was announced as Bridge's replacement. On 21 March, the fight was postponed because KSI was ill. On 4 April, Misfits Boxing confirmed the event was no longer happening.

Film and TV Appearances
In 2016, KSI starred in the British comedy film ... in America. The film was released on 26 September 2016.
In 2018, KSI released a documentary film called KSI: Can't Lose. The film showed his journey to becoming a YouTube boxing champion. It also covered his preparation for the fight against Logan Paul.
KSI made a brief appearance in the Amazon Original sports docuseries All or Nothing: Arsenal in 2022.
In 2023, KSI released a documentary called KSI: In Real Life, produced by Amazon Prime Video and Louis Theroux. It focused on KSI's life and career.
In February 2025, KSI was a guest judge on Britain's Got Talent series 18 on ITV1. He filled in for Bruno Tonioli and Simon Cowell. He also performed in the live final.
Business Ventures
KSI and the Sidemen have started many businesses. In 2014, they launched a clothing brand called Sidemen Clothing. In November 2021, they started a restaurant chain called Sides. In October 2022, they launched their own vodka brand, XIX Vodka. In March 2024, they launched a breakfast cereal brand called Best Cereal.
In February 2021, KSI announced his own record label, "The Online Takeover." He partnered with his music manager Mams Taylor. The first artist signed was Aiyana-Lee.
In June 2021, KSI announced a boxing promotion company called 'Misfits Boxing'. He partnered with Wasserman Boxing. The first event was on 27 August 2022. They also announced a series of "MF & DAZN: X Series" events with DAZN. In January 2023, Misfits Boxing and DAZN signed a 5-year deal.
In January 2022, KSI founded a drinks company called Prime with Logan Paul. Prime sells sports drinks, drink mixes, and energy drinks.
In September 2024, KSI, Paul, and MrBeast founded Lunchly, a kids' lunch kit company. It includes Prime drinks and Feastables chocolate.
In November 2024, KSI became the president of Baller League UK, a six-a-side football league.
Video Games and Books
In 2016, KSI released a video game called KSI Unleashed for iOS and Android. The game was later removed from app stores.
In 2018, KSI helped promote EA Sports UFC 3. He trained with former UFC champion Michael Bisping.
In August 2021, KSI worked with Roblox to host a virtual album launch party inside the game.
In 2015, KSI published his autobiography, KSI: I Am a Bellend. He toured to promote the book. On 18 October 2016, KSI and the Sidemen released Sidemen: The Book. It became a best-seller in the UK.
Wrestling Appearances
On 1 April 2023, KSI appeared at WWE's event, WrestleMania 39. He was with Logan Paul and interfered in a match. On 8 March 2024, KSI appeared on SmackDown with Paul to celebrate Prime's partnership with WWE.
Personal Life
KSI supports Arsenal F.C.. He has said he is agnostic, meaning he is unsure about God's existence.
In March 2021, KSI faced criticism for misgendering a trans person and using an offensive word in a Sidemen video. He later apologized, saying he did not know the word was offensive. In April 2023, KSI used another offensive word in a Sidemen video. He apologized on Twitter and took a break from social media. The video was removed. He visited a mosque to "educate himself" and apologized again.
Income and Wealth
In 2015, Forbes estimated KSI's earnings at over $4.5 million. This made him the fifth-highest-paid YouTuber at the time.
In 2018, Esquire reported that KSI could earn up to £250,000 from one video. Product endorsements on his social media cost around £75,000. His amateur boxing match against Logan Paul in 2018 generated about £8.5 million from pay-per-view. Ticket sales added over £2.7 million. Forbes reported that KSI was set to earn at least $900,000 from his second fight against Logan Paul in 2019.
In 2020, KSI confirmed he owns over ten properties in England, worth over £10 million. In 2020, The Sunday Times estimated his earnings at £12 million a year. A year later, they believed his earnings had increased by another £13 million.
KSI has talked about his investments in cryptocurrency. He said he lost almost £6 million in cryptocurrency in 2021. He claims he is done with cryptocurrency after his losses.
In July 2023, KSI invested in The Fellas Studios, a production company. He also invested in notwoways, a sneaker brand.
On 17 August 2024, KSI and the Sidemen were ranked 21st on The Times list of "The UK’s top 30 richest gamers and creators." Their shared fortune was estimated at £50 million.
Charity Work
In 2015, KSI donated $10,000 to a charity stream. He also participated in an event to raise money for SpecialEffect. This foundation helps people with physical disabilities play video games.
On 8 May 2020, KSI helped at a food bank for The Independent's Help the Hungry campaign. On 18 December 2020, he prepared meals for Evening Standard's Food for London Now campaign. KSI donated £10,000 to BBC Radio 1's "Lol-a-thon" fundraiser for Comic Relief on 11 March 2021. On 30 March 2021, KSI signed an open letter to encourage black British people to get the COVID-19 vaccine.
On 15 December 2023, KSI fought American streamer IShowSpeed in a charity boxing match. They raised over £50,000 for the Anthony Walker Foundation.
On 14 February 2025, KSI played in "Match for Hope 2025," a football charity event in Qatar. He was a co-captain for his team. The event raised over $10.7 million for charity.
