The Division of Moreton is a special area in Queensland, Australia. It's where people vote to choose someone to represent them in the Australian Parliament. This area was one of the first 75 voting divisions created when Australia became a country in 1901.
The name "Moreton" comes from Moreton Bay. Even though the voting area's borders have changed over the years, it's not actually right next to the bay anymore.
This area was very important in the 1961 federal election. The Liberal Party won the Moreton seat by only 130 votes. This small win helped them get just enough seats to form the government in Parliament.
