Power Rangers Operation Overdrive is an exciting 2007 season of Power Rangers. It follows the Overdrive Rangers as they race to find the powerful Corona Jewels before evil villains can get their hands on them.

Overdrive Rangers

The Operation Overdrive Power Rangers have an important mission: to find five special jewels that belong to the Corona Aurora. These Rangers are extra special because their DNA was changed, giving them amazing strength, super smarts, and unique powers. They use cool devices called Overdrive Trackers to talk to each other and transform into Rangers. Their adventures are funded by a rich billionaire named Andrew Hartford, and their base is in his huge mansion in San Angeles.

Mackenzie "Mack" Hartford

Mackenzie, or "Mack," Hartford is the brave Red Overdrive Ranger. He is the "son" of Andrew Hartford. Mack wasn't chosen to be a Ranger on purpose; he got involved by accident, even though his father didn't want him to. He is outgoing and loves adventure. Mack was kept safe by his father for most of his life and really wanted to prove himself.

Later in the series, it's revealed that Mack is actually an android, not human. His memory is connected to the Operation Overdrive computer. If the computer gets a virus, Mack might start repeating himself!

Mack loves adventure books and dreams of being a hero. He takes failure very hard and almost quit once when he couldn't protect someone. But he quickly showed how brave and smart he was in his first battle. Andrew and the other Rangers quickly accepted him as their leader. He is also very close with Spencer, Andrew's assistant and butler.

Mack once misunderstood his father's worries, thinking Andrew didn't trust him as a Ranger. But he soon realized his father was just worried about losing him. Mack's special power is super strength, which likely comes from his robot parts. At the end of the series, Mack fights Flurious and uses all his energy to defeat him. This leads to Mack's "death." But the Sentinel Knight uses the Corona Aurora to turn Mack into a real human! Mack then gets to live the adventurous life he always dreamed of with his father.

He and his teammates later came back in Super Megaforce to fight alongside other veteran Ranger teams and help the Megaforce Rangers.

Mack's main weapon is the Drive Lance. He controls the Dump Driver (Drive Max Zord #1) and Sonic Streaker (Drive Max Zord #10) Zords.

He is played by James Maclurcan.

William "Will" Aston

William "Will" Aston is the cool Black Overdrive Ranger. He's a smooth and confident spy who used to work alone. He carries a bag full of high-tech gadgets and loves to show off his skills against tricky security systems. Will tries to act very cool and grown-up, even thinking Halloween is "kids' stuff."

Because he was used to working alone, he first found it annoying to be part of a team. He even went off by himself on a mission, which caused problems. He learned he needed the team when Mack saved his life. Will later tried to teach Tyzonn the same lesson about teamwork. He showed his loyalty when he risked his life to rescue Ronny, who was captured while saving him. At the end of the series, Will decides to go back to being a spy, but this time, he will train a team to work with him.

He and the other Rangers later joined forces again in Super Megaforce to help fight the Warstar Armada.

Will's spy skills are very useful. Once, he pretended to join the bad guys to get a special bird from Kamdor.

His special powers are super hearing and "telescopular" vision (like a telescope for his eyes). His main weapon is the Drive Slammer. He controls the Speed (Drive Max Zord #2) and Crane (Drive Max Zord #9) Driver Zords. He also gets a new HoverTek Cycle that can fly.

He is played by Samuell Benta.

Dax Lo

Dax Lo is the funny Blue Overdrive Ranger. He is a very talented film stuntman, but he often felt ignored in his job. He loves to talk about his past movie roles and compare events to films. Dax loves jokes, but he doesn't like it when he doesn't get credit for his hard work. He is the most excited member of the Overdrive team, thrilled to be a real superhero.

Dax once had a girlfriend named Mira. He saved her from one of her henchmen, but she turned out to be the powerful, evil Miratrix! Dax stopped her plan, even though he had suspected her earlier. He was still hurt by the experience but believed she might still have feelings for him.

Dax understands his duty to protect the world, but he still dreams of a true acting career. He was the first to use the Transtek Armor vehicle, which he used against Miratrix, Kamdor, and Moltor. At the end of the series, Dax decides he's had enough of stunt acting and wants to direct movies instead.

He later returned in Super Megaforce with his teammates to help fight the Warstar Armada.

His special power is super agility, allowing him to jump very high and move very fast. His main weapon is the Drive Vortex. He controls the Gyro (Drive Max Zord #3) and Cement (Drive Max Zord #8) Driver Zords.

He is played by Gareth Yuen.

Veronica "Ronny" Robinson

Veronica "Ronny" Robinson is the speedy Yellow Overdrive Ranger. She is a top race car driver in a sport mostly dominated by men, and she can definitely hold her own. Sometimes, she gets very competitive. She used to annoy the other Rangers by showing off when she won games, and she had to learn that winning isn't everything. Ronny gets super excited about the vehicles the Overdrive team uses and loves to drive them as much as possible. When exploring, she can be very energetic. Ronny is usually the driver of the SHARC, the Rangers' main way to get around. Even though she's a tough fighter, she sometimes gets captured, like in the "Man of Mercury" and "Ronny on Empty" episodes when the Fearcats caught her.

In "Man of Mercury, Part II," Ronny helps Tyzonn join the team. She explains to him that his past team's deaths were not his fault. She used to have lucky socks that she wore for every race and never cleaned! Their smell was strong enough to surprise a monster named Blothgaar. At the end of the series, Ronny decides to go back to racing.

Ronny later used her powers again to fight alongside many other veteran Rangers in Super Megaforce.

Her special power is superhuman speed. She even used it to secretly take the fourth jewel from Kamdor. Her main weapons are the Drive Claws. She drives the Dozer (Drive Max Zord #4) and Drill (Drive Max Zord #6) Driver Zords.

She is played by Caitlin Murphy.

Rose Ortiz

Rose Ortiz is the brilliant Pink Overdrive Ranger. She is a Mensa-level genius with incredible knowledge about almost anything, from geography to the Overdrive equipment. As she says herself, she's "never wrong."

Before joining the team, she was building a robot in a university lab in London and writing a paper on advanced robotics. She also spent a year at Harvard studying ancient legends. At the start of the series, she looks a bit like a punk girl, but later she seems more girly. She even claims she learned morse code by age four! Despite her high intelligence, she is very relaxed and often seen chewing something. She is also a very dangerous fighter, battling Mig and Miratrix on her own and winning.

Because she was so smart, Rose grew up very fast, even skipping most of grade school and starting college at eight years old. This meant she didn't have much of a childhood. She combined Zord technology with the Sentinel Sword to create new armor. She mentioned it wasn't safe for humans, but this new armor was later used by Mack (who is an android) as his Battlizer, making him the Red Sentinel Ranger.

At the end of the series, Rose, proud of her intelligence, decides to go back to teaching.

She returned to Ranger duty in Super Megaforce to join the final battle against the Warstar Armada.

Her special power is invisibility. Her main weapon is the Drive Geyser. She drives the Sub (Drive Max Zord #5) and Shovel (Drive Max Zord #7) Driver Zords.

She is played by Rhoda Montemayor.

Tyzonn

Tyzonn, sometimes called "Ty," is an alien from the planet Mercuria. He used to be part of an Intergalactic Emergency Responder Squad, a search and rescue team, with his fiancée Vella. During a terrible accident, his team was killed by the Fearcats after he sent them into a collapsing cave. Tyzonn then dedicated himself to finding the Fearcats and bringing them to justice.

He tracked them to Earth, but Moltor attacked him and turned him into a Pachycephalosaurus/dragon-like monster. Moltor promised to turn him back if Tyzonn was loyal. However, Mack realized Tyzonn wasn't evil, and the Rangers worked with him to get special jewels. The power of these jewels turned Tyzonn back to his normal form. When the Fearcats attacked again, Tyzonn was scared to join the Rangers, fearing he would cause another group of friends to die. But Ronny convinced him that his past experiences weren't his fault. He then moved on and became the Mercury Ranger, fighting alongside his new team.

Tyzonn had some trouble getting used to life on Earth. He annoyed Will by trying too hard to be like him. He also showed interest in learning about his teammates, especially Rose. In his free time, he grows a plant.

He was reunited with Vella thanks to Norg, who rescued her from Flurious's Chillers.

He later joined the Megaforce Rangers to fight the Armada forces at the end of Super Megaforce.

As a Mercurian, Tyzonn can turn his body into mercury. His main weapon is the Drive Detector. He drives an unnamed fire truck Zord (Zord #11) and the Rescue Runner Zords (Zords #12 and #13), which combine to form the Flash Point Megazord.

He is played by Dwayne Cameron.

Allies

Andrew Hartford

Andrew Hartford is a billionaire adventurer who owns many companies. He found the Corona Aurora, and its guardian told him how to keep it safe.

Six months later, Mr. Hartford put together his team of Rangers to protect the Crown. With his knowledge and money, Andrew created all the Power Ranger technology. Andrew himself was ready to be the Red Ranger, willing to face the same dangers as his team. But his son, Mack, took the role instead. Andrew first tried to stop Mack because he was worried about his safety, but he eventually accepted it. When Mack felt unsure of himself, Andrew encouraged him to keep being a Ranger.

Andrew now handles all the technical parts of the Rangers' operations. He is very practical and focused on results.

It was revealed that Andrew was keeping a secret about Mack's past. He once said that Mack shouldn't have been affected by a bad luck spell, and he seemed worried about what that meant. He later mentioned that Mack only arrived two years ago, and before that, it was just him and Spencer. This was confusing because Mack had said he hadn't been on a picnic in 10 years. It was later revealed that Mack is an android, and Andrew built him a little over two years ago. Because Andrew couldn't find the right woman due to his work, he decided to create a son himself. To make it seem like Mack had a childhood, Andrew and Spencer even made some fake photos.

Andrew Hartford is played by Rod Lousich.

Spencer

Spencer is the loyal butler for the Hartfords, and has been for many years. He used to be in The Royal Navy. Spencer is more than just a servant; he is a friend to Mack, Mr. Hartford, and the whole Ranger team. He has even driven the team's Overdrive Truck. After watching Andrew's adventures and taking care of the team, he can step in as second-in-command when Andrew is in trouble. Spencer also goes on missions sometimes, using his amazing disguise skills. He once perfectly disguised himself as Ronny.

Spencer has a dry sense of humor. He isn't afraid to tell Andrew if he thinks he's wrong, like when he first didn't want Mack to be a Ranger. He also understands the Rangers' personalities well. For example, he got Will to break into Hartford's safe by saying it was unbreakable, knowing Will couldn't resist a challenge. He also gives emotional support and good advice to the Rangers when they have personal problems, like when Mack finds out he's not human.

Spencer is almost always seen with a feather duster or serving glasses of lemonade.

He is played by David Weatherley.

Sentinel Knight

The Sentinel Knight is the original protector of the Corona Aurora. Thousands of years ago, after Flurious and Moltor tried to steal the Crown, he decided to scatter it and its five Jewels to hide them. He did this so no one could ever get its power again. The guardian hid the crown and the five jewels on a far-off, empty planet, which was Earth.

He appeared to Andrew Hartford after Andrew found the Corona Aurora. He explained to Andrew about the evil that would come and what to do to keep the crown safe. He appeared again to convince Will, Dax, Ronny, and Rose that they were the world's only hope.

The Sentinel Knight made another appearance to congratulate the Rangers on finding the second gem of the Corona Aurora.

It was revealed that he had fought and trapped Thrax, the son of villains Rita Repulsa and Lord Zedd. When Thrax returned and took away the Overdrive Rangers' powers, the Sentinel Knight called upon and gave powers to five veteran Rangers. These older Rangers temporarily defended the jewels in the current Rangers' place. At first, the Sentinel Knight seemed to name these "Retro Rangers" as replacements, which upset the Overdrive Rangers. However, it turned out not to be true, and their link to the Morphing Grid was eventually fixed. After Mack found a special sword called Excelsior, he gave it to the Sentinel Knight so no one could use it to harm him. The sword's power brought the Sentinel Knight back to his physical form. After this, he quickly destroyed Thrax. Since then, he has been a valuable friend and fighter, able to change into the powerful Sentinel Sword weapon.

Thanks to Rose's additions, the Sentinel Knight can combine with Mack and turn him into the Red Sentinel Ranger. This creates a powerful "Battlizer" armor. In this form, the Sentinel Knight is still aware and can talk to Mack, like Saba and the White Ranger in Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers.

When the jewels and the crown were finally found, the Sentinel Knight returned to his original form. His last act before leaving was to use the Corona Aurora to turn Mack into a real human. He did not appear with the Overdrive Rangers during Super Megaforce. It's possible that the Sentinel Knight was responsible for restoring the powers of other Power Rangers teams to help the Mega Rangers defeat the Armada for good.

The Sentinel Knight is voiced by Nic Sampson.

Vella

Vella is Tyzonn's fiancée. She worked with him as a rescuer. Everyone thought she had died in the cave-in caused by the Fearcats, but she actually survived.

A monster named Crazar pretended to be Vella to trick Tyzonn. Crazar made him think his adventures with the Rangers were just a dream. This was to stop him from helping the Rangers fight other monsters. But Tyzonn realized the truth when he found his morpher. He also figured out that Vella must be alive because Crazar could only copy someone's appearance if that person was still alive. This was proven true later when Moltor was revealed to have kept Vella prisoner and then gave her to Flurious. While Flurious held her captive, Vella became friends with Norg, knowing he wasn't like Flurious or his evil helpers. When Flurious ordered his Chillers to "take care of" Norg and Vella, Norg protected Vella and took her to safety at the Hartford mansion. There, she was finally reunited with Tyzonn.

Vella is played by Beth Allen.

Antagonists

The first two groups of villains are led by Flurious and Moltor, who are brothers. They both want the Corona Aurora gems. They were originally human, but the Corona Aurora's power changed them into monster forms and sent them to different planets. When Andrew Hartford found the Corona, the brothers woke up and attacked Earth to start their search.

The third group is led by the ninja warriors Miratrix and Kamdor.

The fourth group is the Fearcats, two cat-like aliens who were made stronger by Flurious. But they eventually turned against him to become their own evil team.

Each villain group works towards its own goals, so they often fight each other while also having their own monsters.

Flurious

Flurious, who was once human, was changed into a creature made of ice. He is smart enough to create special gyro technology that powers the Fearcats. He is also incredibly powerful.

When he and Moltor were kids, Flurious broke Moltor's little red sled, which made Moltor very upset. Flurious is short-tempered and easily annoyed, often attacking Norg for small reasons. He was the first brother to openly fight Moltor for the Corona Aurora, saying "it's every man for himself." He looks down on his brother, laughing at Moltor's problems and calling him names. He always thinks Moltor is useless and gets annoyed when Moltor fails, even though he fails too. It seems Flurious is the older brother, though it was never clearly stated.

Flurious took over Norg's ice cave and forced the yeti to work for him, which he later regretted. He tried many times to make Norg useful or get him to leave, but Norg always stayed.

Flurious once went to Moltor's base and suggested they work together since Miratrix and Kamdor were also looking for the jewels. They managed to beat the Megazord and capture Mack. But Mack used their old suspicions and hatred to make them fight each other again.

Flurious is one of the less active villains and had the least success. He often didn't search for the jewels himself, preferring to wait for Moltor to find them so he could steal them. However, after the Fearcats appeared, his thinking changed. He briefly tried to work with other villains. He brought back the Fearcats as cyborgs, planning for them to work for him, and teamed up with Kamdor to find a powerful weapon. But this didn't work out. The Fearcats immediately turned on him and stole one of his robots. Kamdor and Flurious also fought over whose fault it was. All three villains ended up fighting each other. After that, Flurious mostly worked alone, except when Thrax formed an alliance. The only other exception was when the Fearcats were destroyed, and Flurious offered Moltor one chance to work for him, though he probably didn't think Moltor would accept. Flurious got the third Corona Aurora jewel thanks to Norg. However, he didn't thank the poor Yeti. Flurious used the jewel to destroy Moltor's lair. Then, he tricked Moltor into coming to his lair, took the Corona Aurora, froze Moltor solid, and shattered him. Using the power of the blue sapphire and the crown, Flurious found the Rangers' base where the other jewels were hidden.

After attacking their home, Flurious forced the Rangers to give him the rest of the jewels by threatening Mack. Flurious got all the jewels and didn't destroy Mack. He then completed the crown and transformed into his ultimate form, a powerful golem/snowman-like monster made of stone and ice called Flurrex. He began to bring a new ice age to Earth. During his fight with the Rangers, Flurious grew to giant size and easily destroyed the Rangers' two Megazords with his massive strength. He boasted that no human could stop him. Mack (who is an android) decided to face him alone in Battlizer mode while the others fought Flurious's army of Chillers. Mack defeated Flurious and separated him from the crown. Flurious was foolish for not destroying Mack sooner when he had the chance. Before Flurious, in his weakened state, could put the crown back on, Mack picked him up and destroyed Flurious for good.

He was played by Gerald Urquhart.

Norg

Norg is a Yeti who lives in the cave that Flurious decided to use as his base. He says he is the last of the Yeti, but he has a cousin named Sasquatch whom he hasn't spoken to in a long time. Norg is very dimwitted. He even thinks penguins are kids in costumes on Halloween. He sees Flurious as his "new friend," even after being blasted by him. Eventually, he realized Flurious didn't treat him like a friend. He helps the villains find the Aurora gems because he is forced to, but he doesn't seem evil himself and often messes around on his missions.

He was guarding Mack while Moltor and Flurious tried to start the DriveMax Megazord. He told Mack the secrets of both brothers, and Mack later used these secrets against them. Norg found the bodies of Mig and Benglo, and Flurious used his new gyros on them to bring them back to life. Norg ran away from Flurious's lair after Flurious caught him on his throne and yelled at him. He went to Moltor's lair, where Moltor gave him Chillers to use and told him to stay. Moltor also yelled at Norg for sitting on his throne. Norg thought Flurious missed him. After Moltor and his crew were defeated by the Rangers, Moltor kicked Norg out of his lair, but not before Norg told Moltor he was glad Flurious broke his sled. In the end, even Flurious wasn't happy to see Norg.

He hurt himself and was healed by Tyzonn and Rose. In return, he later used a healing ritual to save Tyzonn's life after the Ranger was hurt by the Fearcats. He proved to be an excellent tracker when he helped the Black Ranger find the Fearcats' hideout. Norg tried to prove himself to Flurious by stealing the third jewel from Kamdor. He succeeded by accident and gave it to Flurious, who, despite Norg's efforts, didn't thank him or change his opinion of him. He then became friends with Tyzonn's fiancée, Vella, who saw that he was not like Flurious and his soldiers. Norg also told Vella that he knew Tyzonn. When Flurious completed the Corona Aurora, he told his Chillers to "take care" of Vella and Norg. This made Norg furious, and he destroyed all the Chillers left behind. He then managed to escape from Flurious's lair with Vella. He is now living with the Hartfords after Spencer found him eating the flowers.

He was played by Kelson Henderson.

Chillers

The Chillers are Flurious's basic soldiers.

Flurious' Monsters

  • Temple Monster - A temple from the lost city of Atlantis was brought to the surface. Flurious made it come to life as a monster.
  • Flurious' Robot - A large robot Flurious created. It was stolen by the Fearcats.

Moltor

Moltor, like his brother Flurious, was also human, but he was changed into a red, fire-elemental dragon-like creature when he tried to steal the Corona Aurora. When he and Flurious were kids, Flurious broke Moltor's little red sled, which caused a long-lasting grudge. Moltor sees himself as a warrior and is very strong, able to fight all five Rangers at once. He uses two swords in battle. He can also use magic, like turning Tyzonn into a reptilian servant. He is just as strong as his brother, having fought him to a draw many times.

Moltor is much more direct and aggressive than his brother. When they arrived on Earth, he attacked the Rangers directly and kidnapped Andrew Hartford to get the Corona crown. He is responsible for more attacks and plans than Flurious and has had more success. He once got the Corona and stole a special compass right after the Rangers found it. He is mean and shows no mercy. In his first appearance, he caused a volcanic eruption just to distract people. Later, he even destroyed some of his own Lava Lizards because he was angry.

His grudge with his brother made them bitter enemies. He wanted his brother to respect him and tried to achieve this by controlling the weather and flooding the planet. Moltor agreed to Flurious's idea that they should work together since Miratrix and Kamdor were also looking for the crown. However, Mack used their suspicions and hatred to make them fight again. Despite this failed alliance, he later teamed up with the Fearcats and had much more success with them than Flurious did. He built a powerful robot that could defeat the DriveMax Ultrazord, captured Ronny to use as a power source, and even briefly turned the Sentinel Knight evil.

With his volcano lair falling apart because of Flurious's jewel, Moltor decided to lead his Lava Lizards in a full attack on the Rangers to get the remaining jewels. Mack arrived to get the crown from Moltor, and a fierce battle happened. The other Rangers came to get Mack out. Moltor barely survived the battle and the destruction of his lair. He went to Flurious's den with Tyzonn's fiancée, Vella, and the crown. In his weakened state, Flurious easily destroyed him and took the crown.

Moltor was in the Power Rangers: Super Legends video game.

He was voiced by Mark Ferguson.

Lava Lizards

The Lava Lizards are a group of red lizard men who are Moltor's basic soldiers. They can survive in lava and hot places.

Moltor's Monsters

Most of Moltor's monsters look like dinosaurs or dragons. They were either Lava Lizards made stronger or giant robots he controlled:

  • Giant Sea Creature - A giant robot Plesiosaurus monster that came out of the sea.
  • Weather Machine Monster - A device Moltor created that turned into a monster and caused extreme weather.
  • Volcan - A Salamander/Lava Lizard monster created by Moltor.
  • Moltorzord - A huge dragon/rhinoceros robot created and piloted by Moltor.
  • Dragonizer - A large Pterodactylus/dragon-like robot piloted by Flurious during his truce with Moltor.
  • Scaletex - An armored Lindworm/Velociraptor-like creature sent by Moltor to hunt Kamdor and Miratrix.
  • Tyzonn Monster - Moltor turned Tyzonn into a Pachycephalosaurus/dragon-like creature.
  • Bullox - A four-eyed bull/Nāga creature sent to help Tyzonn.
  • Lavadactyls - A trio of Pteranodon-like creatures piloted by Lava Lizards.
  • Blothgarr - A red Chinese Dragon-like monster who is an old friend of Moltor.
  • Cybernetic Rex - A robotic Tyrannosaurus/Allosaurus monster in battleship-like armor created and piloted by Moltor.
  • Magmador - A Styracosaurus/dragon-like monster with tentacles.

Kamdor

Kamdor is Miratrix's master. He was trapped inside a jewel that Miratrix wore around her neck after he saved her on a distant planet. He was eventually freed by a device Will stole for Miratrix (while Will was undercover). Kamdor uses two swords that can combine into a double-bladed weapon. He can create monsters and make them grow using special spells. He doesn't have his own basic soldiers, but he once brainwashed stuntmen into working for him.

He fights both the Rangers and other villains to find the jewels. He has clashed with Moltor and the Fearcats many times. He briefly worked with Flurious and was part of Thrax's army, but his alliances never lasted long. He fought Will several times. Kamdor never trusted Will when Will pretended to be evil. He later accused Will of always failing and was surprised by how strong Will was in their final fight.

He and Miratrix had more success than most of their rival villains in finding the jewels. This was mostly because they were more secretive than the other villains who used brute force. They managed to steal a special parchment, the third Corona Aurora jewel, and found the fourth jewel (though Ronny used her super speed to secretly take it from him).

Kamdor had a strong partnership with Miratrix. He had saved her life, and they seemed to work well together. When she was knocked away by the Fearcats, he sounded genuinely worried. However, he didn't see her as his equal and kept some plans secret from her. He organized an alliance with Flurious without telling her and sent her to fight the Rangers while he searched for a jewel, even though she wasn't really needed. Their relationship eventually broke down. He told her he was wrong to think she could be more than she was, calling her a "worthless greedy underling."

He became more and more angry about losing to the Rangers. He angrily beat the Mercury Ranger until he was unconscious. At the end of a two-part episode, he told Miratrix he was tired of failures and "it's time to make our final move."

Later, he made his final move by waiting for the Rangers to do the hard work, then attacking suddenly. He successfully stole a Golden Plate that led to the fifth jewel. He also trapped Miratrix in the same jewel that had once held him. He used the third jewel to summon a meteor to Earth as a distraction. Will had to fight Kamdor alone while the other Rangers handled the meteor. During this fight, Kamdor's mask broke, showing his true, gray monster face. Kamdor, determined to fight "to the end," was eventually destroyed by the Black Ranger, and the Plate was recovered.

He was voiced by Adam Gardiner.

Miratrix

Miratrix first appeared in her human disguise as Mira. She faked a monster attack for Dax to save her from, became his girlfriend, and used this to get special scrolls. She made a mistake by mentioning the Rangers' quest for the jewels, which Dax had never told her about. Because of this, she was tricked into stealing a fake scroll, and her plan failed.

Miratrix served Kamdor loyally after he was trapped saving her life. Together, they searched for the Corona jewels. She is a dangerous warrior, fighting the Rangers with her hand-to-hand skills and a small sword. She was attracted to Will when he pretended to join the villains and was angry when she found out it was an act.

She could go undercover. Miratrix disguised herself as an assistant from the Mayor's office to give the Rangers fake medals that would stop the new Mercury Ranger. She also went undercover in Egypt and overheard information the Rangers were given without being noticed.

She had a strong partnership with Kamdor and was always by his side, serving him loyally. She seemed very friendly with him, but she was once frustrated by not being told about his plans and being sent to fight the Rangers while he searched for the fourth jewel. She seemed to believe she was his equal, but he actually treated her as a trusted helper. Finally, after failing to get a special chalice from the Rangers, Kamdor told Miratrix he was tired of her failures. He said she was only a helper and he had been foolish to think she could be more.

In response, an upset Miratrix interrupted a ceremony the Rangers were holding with the Chalice, trying to get its power. The Chalice's energy turned her into a giant owl-like monster. In this form, she was powerful enough to take down the BattleFleet Megazord until Tyzonn and Ronny managed to break her connection to the Chalice. After being defeated by the Rangers and turning back to her normal form, Kamdor arrived unexpectedly to take advantage of the situation. He revealed he had been using her to do exactly what she had done. After letting Miratrix feel despair for a moment, he trapped her in the jewel he had originally been sealed in.

It's unknown if Kamdor still had the jewel when he was destroyed, though Flurious said that Miratrix was also destroyed.

She was played by Ria Vandervis.

Kamdor's Monsters

Most of the monsters Kamdor creates look like they are made from two different items:

The Fearcats

The Fearcats were the last members of a dangerous race of demonic, feline aliens. They were very mean, and their first episode showed they enjoyed destroying things and hurting people just to show they could.

Originally, Mig and his partner Cheetar came to Earth to find the Corona Aurora jewels to free their kind from a Prison Mirror. But they got impatient. They captured Ronny and used her Overdrive Tracker instead. This freed Benglo before the Prison Mirror itself was destroyed by Tyzonn, which also permanently trapped the remaining Fearcats inside. Cheetar then sacrificed himself to save the two stronger Fearcats. He used his last bit of strength to grow big and fight the Rangers' Zords until he was destroyed. The two remaining Fearcats also tried this tactic later, but they weren't completely destroyed when they were defeated.

Norg found them, and Flurious brought them back to life as cyborgs using his gyro technology. With their new powers, they almost defeated the Rangers in their first few fights until Tyzonn joined as the Mercury Ranger. Flurious originally wanted the Fearcats to work for him, but they betrayed him by stealing the giant robot he built and started their own evil plans. They decided to find the Corona jewels for themselves and get rid of Tyzonn for destroying their Fearcat army. They were stronger than before as cyborgs and used the same technology to build their own giant robots.

The only other remaining Fearcat, Crazar, joined her cyborg comrades to find a special chalice. Using it with three other relics (which they stole from the rival villains), they created a giant cyborg-golem called Agrios. They almost succeeded in destroying the Rangers. Agrios eventually fell to the combined Zord power, and all three Fearcats were defeated by the Rangers.

The Fearcats seemed to dislike Ronny Robinson, the Yellow Ranger, the most (besides Tyzonn) because they captured her twice.

Mig

Mig could create a bazooka-like weapon. Mig had a rivalry with Tyzonn because he was responsible for killing Tyzonn's rescue team. As a cyborg, he now had two pistols that could also be used as short swords, and he was much more powerful. Mig seemed to be the more confident and a bit immature of the two. He was the one most often seen fighting the Rangers. He once almost killed Tyzonn but was stopped by Rose. In "Once a Ranger," he was impressed with Kamdor's knowledge when they were sent to Stonehenge to look for the Corona Aurora gems. After Agrios was defeated, he fought Tyzonn alone on top of the mountains and was destroyed by the Mercury Ranger.

He was voiced by Kelson Henderson.

Benglo

Benglo was trapped inside the prison mirror until Cheetar and Mig freed him. As a cyborg, he was very powerful and had a sword/shotgun weapon. Benglo seemed very serious, acting as a calm contrast to Mig's impulsive nature. He usually let Mig do most of the fighting while he piloted their giant robots. After Agrios was defeated, he fought the five main Rangers while Mig battled Tyzonn. After seeing his partner destroyed, Benglo promised revenge, but before he could act, he was also destroyed by the Red Sentinel Ranger.

He was voiced by David Weatherley.

Cheetar

Cheetar, who has a short, violent temper, came to Earth with Mig to find the Corona Aurora jewels and free their army from the prison mirror. Cheetar and Mig captured Ronny and successfully freed Benglo from the mirror. But then Ronny and Tyzonn destroyed the mirror, trapping the other Fearcats inside forever. Later, Cheetar took a hit for Mig and Benglo. He then used his last energy to grow big and was destroyed in battle by the DriveMax Ultrazord. He is based on Tor The Shuttlezord from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.

He was voiced by James Gaylyn.

Crazar

Crazar was a female wolf-like Fearcat. Everyone thought she had been killed in the same cave-in that Mig caused to kill Tyzonn's teammates and fiancée Vella long ago. Tyzonn said she was "worse than Mig and Benglo." She also had the power to create very realistic illusions.

When she arrived on Earth, she teamed up with Mig and Benglo and helped them get a special chalice. During her fight with the DualDrive Megazord, Tyzonn tried to destroy her completely with an ancient Mercurian spell. It failed, and Crazar reappeared. She pretended to be Tyzonn's fiancée Vella and created an illusion of Mercuria. She tried to convince Tyzonn that everything since the cave-in had been a dream, so he would stay out of the other Fearcats' way. Crazar's disguise was accidentally revealed by Spencer, and she was destroyed for good in a fierce battle against Tyzonn.

She was voiced by Lori Dungey.

Fearcats' Monsters

Most of the Fearcats' monsters are giant robots that they can pilot:

  • Jet Robot - A giant jet-themed robot.
  • Commando Robot - A giant commando-themed robot.
  • Centurion Robot - A giant battle helicopter-themed robot.
  • Agrios - A gigantic powerful monster created by the Fearcats after they mixed several powerful relics. The Fearcats could control it like a giant robot.

Thrax

Thrax is the son of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers villains Rita Repulsa and Lord Zedd. He is also the grandson of Master Vile. He appears as the main villain in the "Once a Ranger" episodes. Thrax looks a lot like his father, Lord Zedd, with his physical appearance and staff. His powers also seem similar to his father's. He has a part-humanoid face and torn, orange cloth-like decorations around his horns. One similarity to his mother is that he was also trapped in a space dumpster. His jawbone looks like his uncle Rito Revolto's, and he has a skeletal spine, combining features of his father and uncle. His shoulder pads and chest armor are similar to Zeltrax from Power Rangers Dino Thunder.

Thrax was trapped by the Sentinel Knight in a space dumpster, just like his mother was. He grew stronger as the Sentinel Knight grew weaker and was able to escape. Now, he wants revenge on the Sentinel Knight. He is angry at his parents for becoming good and wants to bring back their evil legacy. He unites the four Overdrive villain groups into an alliance to destroy the Overdrive Rangers. The combined villains easily defeat the Rangers by breaking their link to the Universal Morphing Grid, taking away their powers. When the Sentinel Knight responds by creating a team of veteran Rangers, Thrax decides to find the magical sword Excelsior to destroy him. He follows Mack Hartford right to it. However, because Thrax is evil, he cannot claim the sword and retreats to continue his rampage. He proves to be a strong fighter in the final battle, even overpowering a Ranger's special vest, before being beaten by Adam Park. Thrax is finally destroyed by the newly restored Sentinel Knight, which causes the other villains to retreat and go back to their rivalries. His father's staff was later collected by Ryjack in Power Rangers Beast Morphers.

He was played by Glen Levy.

Vulturus

Vulturus is a vulture-like monster created by Thrax. Thrax claimed he was invincible. He grew giant and attacked the Rangers in their Megazords but was destroyed by Mack using Excelsior. Later, the villains found him weakened but in one piece. Flurious restored his strength and upgraded him into a more human-like form called Vulturus Maximus. In this second form, he was destroyed by the Mercury Ranger's Drive Detector.
