List of covered bridges in Oregon facts for kids
Covered bridges are like special, old tunnels made of wood that help people cross rivers and streams. They have roofs and walls to protect the wooden parts from rain and sun. This helps the bridges last a very long time!
Oregon has 50 of these amazing historic covered bridges. Most of them were built between 1905 and 1925. Long ago, there were about 450 covered bridges in Oregon. By 2021, only 49 were left. Lane County has more covered bridges than any other county west of the Mississippi River.
