The Aleutian Islands are a long chain of more than 300 small islands. They stretch for about 1,200 miles (1,900 km) from the Alaska Peninsula in the United States all the way to the Kamchatka Peninsula in Russia. These islands are part of the "Pacific Ring of Fire" and have many volcanoes.

The Aleutian Islands are home to unique wildlife and beautiful, rugged landscapes. The Aleut people have lived on these islands for thousands of years. Their names for the islands are often given in parentheses.
