List of Commissioners' churches in London facts for kids
A Commissioners' church is a special kind of Anglican church in the United Kingdom. These churches were built with money approved by the Parliament (the government) after a law called the Church Building Act of 1818. They were also known as "Waterloo Churches" or "Million Act Churches."
Sometimes, the government paid for the whole church. Other times, they gave a grant (a sum of money), and the local community raised the rest. This list shows the Commissioners' churches that were built in London.
