On April 5, 2014, Leicester City was the first team to earn promotion. They returned to the Premier League after ten years! They even became champions of the Championship on April 22, 2014, after beating Bolton Wanderers.
Then, on April 21, 2014, Burnley also got promoted by finishing second in the Championship. This happened after their win against Wigan Athletic.
