Hero: 108 is an exciting animated TV show from America, Britain, and Taiwan. It first aired on Cartoon Network and the Kabillion channel in 2010. The show was created by Yang-Ming Tarng.
This action-packed series was made by several companies, including MoonScoop Group and Gamania. It became very popular, so a second season was released in 2012. The show finished its run in July 2012.

Story of Hero: 108
Long ago, in a place called the Hidden Kingdom, animals and humans lived together peacefully. But then, a sneaky trickster named HighRoller showed up. He tricked the animals into believing that humans were their enemies. This caused a lot of trouble and chaos in the Hidden Kingdom.
To fix things, a brave leader named Commander ApeTrully created a special team called Big Green. Their mission was to bring humans and animals back together as friends. They also had to fight against HighRoller and his helpers, the Zebra Brothers.
Most episodes follow a fun pattern. Commander ApeTrully often goes to an animal kingdom to make peace. He brings a gift of gold to show he means well. But the animals usually capture him! Then, he calls for help from First Squad, Big Green's best warriors.
First Squad arrives in a cool way, riding on turtles with tank treads! A battle or contest usually happens next. During these fights, the animals show off their unique skills. After the fight, the animals often agree to join Big Green. They then use their special abilities to help Big Green solve new problems. The show is loosely based on an old Chinese story called Water Margin.

Big Green's Leaders
- Commander ApeTrully (voiced by Ian James Corlett) - He is the kind and quirky leader of Big Green. His main goal is to make animals and humans friends again. He often gets captured while trying to make peace, but he always calls First Squad for help. It's a secret, but he is actually the King of the Monkeys! He was the first to see through HighRoller's lies. He is known as Hero 001.
- Woo the Wise (voiced by Adrian Petriw) - Woo is a smart human inventor and was the first person to join Big Green. He wears a fake mustache to look older. Sometimes, he pretends to know what he's doing, but he's actually thinking, "My head is as empty as a balloon!" He is Hero 003.
First Squad
These are Big Green's top warriors, ready for any mission!
- Mr. No Hands (voiced by Ian James Corlett) - He is the strict but caring leader of First Squad. He doesn't go on every mission, but he's very important. His hat can spin like a helicopter, letting him fly! It can also shoot darts. He keeps his hands in a special wooden device because he can't stop tickling himself if they are free! He is Hero 020.
- Lin Chung (voiced by Andrew Francis) - Many people say Lin Chung is the most skilled warrior in Big Green. He has a special power called Panther Vision. This lets him see very far or slow down time while he moves super fast. He fights with a staff that can shoot yummy bamboo shoots. He is Hero 006.
- Jumpy Ghostface (voiced by Brian Drummond) - He is the King of the Rabbits. Jumpy is a brave fighter who jumps right into danger. Even though he looks cute, he's a tough opponent in battle. He is Hero 088.
- Mystique Sonia (voiced by Kelly Sheridan) - Sonia is a strong and experienced warrior. She often argues with Mighty Ray. She can use her super long tongue like a whip to fight enemies. She can also spin it around to create strong winds. She is Hero 103.
- Yaksha - This purple and pink creature sits on Mystique Sonia's head like a hat. If someone says they love Sonia three times, they turn into Yaksha! Yaksha is super flexible and can change into different shapes to help Sonia, like a dress or a trampoline.
- Mighty Ray (voiced by Ian James Corlett) - Mighty Ray is another warrior in First Squad. He used to be part of Mr. No Hands' giant foosball team! He is Hero 025.
Second Squad
These warriors are Big Green's backup team. They often try to prove they are as good as First Squad.
- Alpha Girl Latifah (voiced by Tabitha St. Germain) - She is the leader of Second Squad. She has long black hair and sharp claws. She uses a spiky club in battle and is a rival to Mr. No Hands. She is Hero 101.
- Golden Eye Husky (voiced by Brian Drummond) - He is the King of the Ligers and a member of Second Squad. He seems to be a rival to Jumpy Ghostface. He is Hero 093.
- Kowloon (voiced by Ian James Corlett) - Kowloon is a karate warrior and a rival to Lin Chung. He uses a staff in online games. He is Hero 023.
- Hurricane Lee (voiced by Scott McNeil) - He is a big, strong member of Second Squad and Archer Lee's brother. He fights with two axes. He is Hero 022.
- Archer Lee (voiced by Tabitha St. Germain in Season 1) - He is the armored archery expert of Second Squad and Hurricane Lee's brother. He might be a rival to Mighty Ray. He is Hero 009.
Big Green Air Force
This part of Big Green's army fights in the sky! They wear white and use jet-shaped firecrackers as planes. Their hats have giant afros inside that act as air brakes and parachutes.
- Master Chou (voiced by Brian Drummond) - He leads the Air Force. He is Hero 086.
- Rosefinch (voiced by Kelly Sheridan) - A female member of the Air Force. She is Hero 104.
- Burly (voiced by Ian James Corlett) - The biggest member of the Air Force. He often pulls planes together for combined attacks. He is Hero 065.
- Mano - An Air Force member with an eyepatch. He is Hero 083.
Other Big Green Members
- Red-Face Kwan (voiced by Eric Bauza) - He leads Big Green's Infantry. He's called Red-Face Kwan because a crab is stuck to his bottom, making him angry! He is Hero 005.
- Sailor Brothers (voiced by Brian Drummond) - These three green-skinned brothers lead Big Green's Navy. They are great at throwing life preservers to rescue people. They also have a big crush on Mystique Sonia. They are Heroes 028, 029, and 030.
- Rattle Diva (voiced by Tabitha St. Germain) - A geisha guitarist who loves to play music. She hates it when others try to steal her spotlight! She can even turn her dress into a rock outfit and play heavy metal. She is Hero 073.
- Sammo the Whale (voiced by Andrew Francis) - Sammo is a whale who helps Big Green travel across the sea. He is Hero 044.
- Wu Sung (voiced by Eric Bauza) - Wu Sung is Big Green's dentist. He calls himself a "dental warrior" because his dentist tools look like swords! He is the twin brother of the Dog King. He is Hero 014.
- Gardener Ching (voiced by Andrew Francis) - Big Green's gardener. He grows huge gourds for the Tank Army's tanks. He sometimes insults people to make them cry, as their tears help his plants grow! He is Hero 102.
- Origin Man (voiced by Brian Drummond) - A caveman found frozen in ice. He is Hero 070.
- Lady Green (voiced by Kathleen Barr) - A female member of Big Green's navy who has never lost a battle. She is Hero 102.
- Yan Ching (voiced by Vincent Tong) - A small water-based human with great strength. He is Hero 036.
- Bronze Giant - A huge hero that Lin Chung can summon. He is Hero 108.
- The Tank Army - Soldiers who wear metal gloves and drive large Calabash Tanks. They are led by the Tank Commander (voiced by Andrew Francis), who is Hero 085.
Villains
- Twin Masters (voiced by Scott McNeil) - This is a powerful, two-sided demon who is HighRoller's boss. Twin Masters wants to make the world full of chaos. One side of his body is red like fire, and the other is blue like ice.
- HighRoller (voiced by Brian Drummond) - He used to be a court jester who got banished. After being struck by lightning, he could talk to animals. He then tricked them into hating humans. As the Emperor of the East Citadel, he loves to attack humans, eat candy, and play games. He is Hero 000.
- The Zebra Brothers (voiced by Adrian Petriw and Brian Drummond) - These two zebra twins work for HighRoller. Sparky Black has black stripes, and Sparky White has white stripes. They are Heroes 062 and 063.
- Bearstomp - The armored King of the Bears. He wears a helmet with a cannon and acts as HighRoller's bodyguard. He is Hero 052.
- The Soldiers of Darkness - A group of humans who hate animals and want revenge. They are led by the Commander of Darkness (voiced by Brian Drummond in Season 1, Scott McNeil in Season 2). They leave skull marks wherever they go. The Commander is Hero 096.
- Cocky Aliens - These aliens can only be defeated by being kicked 100 times! After that, they turn into fruit.
- Spotter the Rabbit (voiced by Trevor Devall) - A rabbit who competed against Jumpy Ghostface to become the Rabbit King.
- Minotaur (voiced by Kwesi Ameyaw) - A Minotaur who lives in a maze with a gladiator arena. He can make his horns longer in battle.
- Bounty Hunters - Two hunters hired by Twin Masters. Nain (voiced by Trevor Devall) is a lion-like hunter with a sword. The other is a Nāga (cobra-like) who can stretch her tongue and drives a snake-like train.
Animals of the Hidden Kingdom
Many different animals live in the Hidden Kingdom, some are friends of Big Green, and some are tricked by HighRoller!
- Turtles - These turtles ride on tank treads and help First Squad and Second Squad get around. They were the first animals to join Big Green. They are Hero 075.
- Rabbits - They love candy more than carrots! They use jump ropes to attack and have a stinky belch.
- Bears - Some bears work for HighRoller. Bearstomp is their king.
- Elephants - They use their long noses to attack, but then their noses deflate and need to be re-inflated!
- Ligers - Their tough hides make them hard to hurt.
- Camels - They enjoy drawing and can spit stinky goo as a weapon.
- Parrots - They sometimes ride on snails and can drop pellet bombs. The Parrot King taught animals human languages.
- Pandas and Giraffes - They live together. Giraffes lift Pandas and throw them like a catapult!
- Baboons - HighRoller infected them with fleas, making them evil and steal water.
- Fleas - Special fleas used by HighRoller to control the Baboons. Water makes them stop.
- Chameleons - The Chameleon Queen and her subjects are HighRoller's allies. She loves candy and can grow huge by eating mosquitoes.
- Peacocks - The Peacock Queen's tail feathers can mesmerize humans. She also uses a fan to control winds.
- Whales - Besides Sammo, three smaller whales make up HighRoller's Navy.
- Dogs - The Dog King was a human raised by dogs. They use ice attacks. He is Wu Sung's twin brother.
- Rhinos - HighRoller put stamps on their horns to steal things by stamping them.
- Lions - They look like Ligers but are brown. They can launch their manes to attack.
- Crocodiles - They love sunbathing to store energy and shoot Sun Beams from their mouths. They are also good at Yo-Yo tricks.
- Cats - They throw Chili Powder Firecrackers from their tails. The Cat King outlawed laughter in his kingdom.
- Cheetahs - They invented the game shuttlecock by kicking small "Cocky Aliens" 100 times.
- Sharks - The Shark King is an expert surfer.
- Butterflies - They can combine to form anyone or anything.
- Snakes - The Snake King can hypnotize anyone who sneaks into his castle.
- Octopi - They can use their ink to remove colors.
- Egrets and Oxen - The Egret Queen and Ox King work together to farm rice and fight Locusts.
- Locusts - These insects attack rice crops and can combine to form larger locusts.
- Crabs - They are good at sculpting with sand and can bury people. The Crab King looks like an excavator.
- Pigs - They can perform a Pigtail Vibration Attack and a Pig Nose Vacuum Attack.
- Skunks - They use nunchuks and can combine their stenches to create a Stink Monster.
- Termites - These insects once overran Big Green's base.
- Tigers - They live in the Great Wall Train, which can travel through time.
- Scorpions - These scorpions are larger than humans. Their tails have poison that turns people upside down.
- Groundhogs - Great diggers who steal vegetables. The Groundhog King learned human language by tunneling under Parrot Castle.
- Duckbills - They can combine like puzzle pieces to flatten enemies.
- Deer - They ride flying magnetic devices and can cause earthquakes by hitting their antlers on the ground.
- Porcupines - They can launch their sharp spikes in battle.
- Sheep - They have mastered human language and are great at making sweaters from their wool.
- Penguins - They look like bowling pins. The Penguin King can shed his skin and fire his skeleton into the air!
- Frogs - They make music with their voices and can attack with their tongues. Their song notes can form objects like boulders.
- Bats - They can read brain waves and perform sonic attacks. Their wing tips are sharp.
- Hens - They can shoot eggs as attacks.
- Black Dragon - A very dangerous creature in the Hidden Kingdom.
- Chimeric Dragon - Woo the Wise created this dragon by merging several animals, including a Crocodile, Deer, Snake, and two hens.
- Fireflies - These fireflies are larger than normal. They can breathe fire and shoot lasers.
- Gorillas - The Gorilla King has a powerful punch.
- Kangaroos - The Kangaroo King has a powerful kick. He and the Gorilla King can combine into a strong "Gorilla-Roo" formation. After being insulted by HighRoller, Kangaroo King joined Big Green (Hero 107).
- Stingrays - They can fly, shoot lightning, and deflect attacks with their flat bodies.
- Pangolins - They have mastered human language and can roll into gear-like shapes to attack.
- Lizards - These lizards (like frill-necked lizards) can extend their tongues and tails to attack.
- Seagulls - They have learned human languages from fishermen. They specialize in wind attacks and can create smokescreens.
- Flying Squirrels - They drop acorns like bombs.
- Wasps - They attacked First Squad as a distraction.
- Star-Nosed Moles - Great diggers who pulled people underground.
- Owls - They can shoot pellets from their mouths and perform sonic attacks.
- Armadillos - The Armadillo King is an old friend of Commander ApeTrully.
- Rock Caterpillars - Giant caterpillars that can shoot silk threads.
- Yaks - Powerful yaks that live in mountain castles.
- Hamsters - In this show, hamsters are human-sized.
- Iguanas - They appeared fighting First Squad but retreated.
- Vultures - They are neutral in the fight between Big Green and HighRoller.
- Cranes - The Zebra Brothers tricked the Crane King into attacking a human village.
- Flying Fish - They can fly and bite.
- Alpacas - Twin Masters' lightning made them vicious, but Lin Chung's powers cured them.
- Slugs - Human-sized slugs with tentacles that shoot sticky or slippery goo.
- Koalas - The Koala King is an old friend of Commander ApeTrully.
- Centipedes - Giant centipedes with special earwax that lets people change forms.
- Beetles - Large enough to carry humans and can discharge absorbed lightning.
- Wolf Eels - Wolf-headed eels that live in ruins.
- Dragons - The Commander of Darkness took control of dragons for his revenge.
- Mantis - Human-sized mantises. Spotter the Rabbit used them to try and take over Rabbit Castle.
- Foxes - The Fox King was not fooled by HighRoller's lies. Foxes can make their ears long to use as weapons.
- Spiders - Larger than humans, they have "Arachno-Tanks" that shoot beams and web balls.
- Lantern Fish - The Lantern Fish King used his light to hypnotize other kings and create his own navy.
- Sea Elephants - These creatures (who look like Walruses) were sent by HighRoller to protect Twin Masters' heart.

Hero: 108 was featured in many commercials for a company called Gamania. These ads showed short clips from the show. An American toy commercial also aired, promoting Hero: 108 action figures available at Toys "R" Us. This was the only Hero: 108 commercial shown on TV in the United States.

There was once an online game (MMORPG) based on the series. In this game, players could play as characters from First Squad and Second Squad. The game was made by Gamania's RedGate Games. However, the game's servers are now closed.
