AIK Fotboll, often called simply AIK, is a professional football club from Stockholm, Sweden. Its full name, Allmänna Idrottsklubben, means "the general sports club". AIK plays in Allsvenskan, which is the top football league in Sweden.
The club was started in 1891. The football part of the club began in 1896. AIK's home stadium is Strawberry Arena, located in Solna, just north of Stockholm.
AIK has won the Swedish championship 12 times, with their most recent win in 2018. They are third in the all-time Allsvenskan table. AIK holds the record for playing the most seasons in Sweden's top league.
In European competitions, AIK has done well too. They reached the quarter-finals of the 1996–97 UEFA Cup Winners' Cup. They also played in the main group stages of the UEFA Champions League in 1999 and the UEFA Europa League in 2012.

Club History
AIK has a long and interesting history in Swedish football. They were founded in 1891 and quickly became a major club. The football section was added a few years later in 1896.
Team Kits and Sponsors
AIK's main home kit is black. Their away kit is white. The shorts are usually white, but sometimes they are black. The socks are black and yellow stripes, or all white for the away kit.
The club's kits are made by Nike. New kits are released every year before the season starts. You can see logos of different sponsors on their shirts and shorts. Some of these sponsors include Truecaller, a phone app, and Volkswagen, a car company.
Home Stadium
Since 2013, AIK has played its home games at the Strawberry Arena. This stadium is also where the Swedish national team plays. Before this, AIK played at Råsunda Stadium until 2012. The club's members voted in 2011 to choose Strawberry Arena as their new home.
Fan Support
AIK has a very strong and loyal fan base. Their supporters are known for creating a great atmosphere at games.
Club Rivalries
AIK has a big rivalry with Djurgården. Both clubs were formed in Stockholm in 1891, just a few weeks apart. Their matches are called "the Twin Derby" and are very exciting. AIK also has a rivalry with another Stockholm team, Hammarby. Outside of Stockholm, their biggest rivals are IFK Göteborg and Malmö FF.
Game Attendance
AIK often has the highest attendance at their games in Sweden. In 2023, their average attendance was 25,739 fans. This was the highest in the Allsvenskan league, even though the team didn't perform as well that season. AIK has had the highest average attendance 41 times in history, more than any other Swedish club.
Club Culture
The club's official song, played when the team enters the field, is "Å vi e AIK". This song is a Swedish version of "The Last Farewell" by Roger Whittaker.
