Kids Encyclopedia Facts

Toon Disney was a TV channel in the United States that showed lots of animated cartoons. It started on April 18, 1998, as a sister channel to Disney Channel. Toon Disney mostly aired cartoons that had been shown before on other channels, covering everything from action-packed adventures to funny comedies.

The very first show ever broadcast on Toon Disney was a part of the movie Fantasia called "The Sorcerer's Apprentice," featuring Mickey Mouse. After that, the channel showed more Mickey Mouse cartoons and episodes of popular series like Timon and Pumbaa, The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Goof Troop, TaleSpin, and Aladdin. Toon Disney later changed into Disney XD. This list does not include shows that were part of the Jetix block, which was a special programming section on Toon Disney from 2004 to 2009.

Past Shows on Toon Disney

Many shows aired on Toon Disney. Some were original, meaning they first showed new episodes on Toon Disney. Others were "syndicated," which means they had already been shown on other channels like Disney Channel or ABC.
