The Backyardigans is a fun CGI-animated musical TV show. It was created by Janice Burgess. The show first aired in Canada on Treehouse TV on September 11, 2004, with the episode "Pirate Treasure." It then officially started on Nickelodeon's Nick Jr. in the U.S. on October 11, 2004. The show ran for four seasons, with its last episode airing on July 12, 2013.
The series was based on an older live-action pilot called Me and My Friends, made in 1998. There are 80 episodes in total across four seasons. The episodes are listed below in the order you'd find them on places like iTunes or DVD.

About the Seasons
The Backyardigans had four main seasons, plus some pilot episodes before the show officially started. Each season brought new adventures and songs!
- Pilots (1998–2001): These were the very first try-out episodes. There were 2 pilots, but they never aired on TV.
- Season 1 (2004–2006): This season had 20 episodes and was the first to air. It started on October 11, 2004.
- Season 2 (2006–2008): This season also had 20 episodes and began on October 9, 2006.
- Season 3 (2008–2009): Another 20 episodes were in this season, starting on January 14, 2008.
- Season 4 (2009–2013): The final season had 20 episodes. It started on October 26, 2009, and finished airing on July 12, 2013.
