List of tributaries of the Colorado River facts for kids
The Colorado River is a very important river in North America. It flows through seven states in the United States and two states in Mexico. Rivers that flow into a bigger river are called tributaries. Think of them as smaller streams or rivers that "help" the main river grow bigger. The main helpers of the Colorado River are the Gila River, the San Juan River, the Green River, and the Gunnison River.
