This article shares a list of countries that grow the most cucumbers and gherkins. The information comes from the Food and Agriculture Organization Corporate Statistical Database and covers the years 2017 to 2022. In 2022, the world grew about 94.7 million metric tonnes of cucumbers. That's a huge amount, like the weight of many thousands of school buses! This was a small increase from 2021. China grew the most cucumbers by far, producing over 81% of the world's total. Countries listed in italics are dependent territories, meaning they are part of a larger country or have a special status.
