Madame Tussauds Hollywood is a super cool wax museum and tourist attraction located on Hollywood Boulevard in Hollywood, California. It's a place where you can see incredibly lifelike wax figures of your favorite celebrities, movie stars, and even historical figures!

This museum is one of many Tussauds locations around the world. The whole idea was started by a talented sculptor named Marie Tussaud. The Hollywood museum is owned and run by Merlin Entertainments, a big company that manages many fun attractions. You'll find it just west of the famous TCL Chinese Theatre.

The Museum's History and Opening

This amazing three-story museum took about 1.5 years to build. It finally opened its doors in 2009. When it first opened, it had 125 wax figures of famous people.

The very first wax figures made for this Hollywood location were of singer Beyoncé and actor Jamie Foxx. Each one cost around $350,000 to create!

What You'll See Inside

Each wax figure at Madame Tussauds Hollywood is incredibly detailed. Next to each figure, you'll find a small sign with interesting facts about the person it represents.

The museum also has props near some figures. This means you can grab a prop and take awesome photos that make it look like you're really hanging out with the stars!

Meet King Kong and Other Stars

One of the biggest figures you'll see in the museum is King Kong. This giant ape figure sits on the second floor of the attraction.

Right when you enter the museum, you'll be greeted by some very famous faces. Figures like Marilyn Monroe, Dwayne Johnson, Kobe Bryant, and Hulk are often placed in the lobby to welcome guests. They make you excited to see what else is inside!
