List of Teachers' Days facts for kids
Teacher's Day is a special time to celebrate and thank teachers for all their hard work. It's a day when we show how much we appreciate their amazing contributions to our learning and to the community. Because of this, different countries celebrate Teacher's Day on different dates, unlike many other international holidays. For example, Argentina celebrates on September 11, remembering Domingo Faustino Sarmiento, who was a president and a big supporter of education. In India, Teacher's Day is on September 5, which is the birthday of Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, who was India's second president and also a great teacher.
Many countries around the world celebrate their Teacher's Day on October 5. This date is special because it's World Teachers' Day, which was created by UNESCO in 1994.
