This list celebrates Black actors, directors, writers, and other talented people who have won or been nominated for an Oscar. It shows how much they've achieved in Hollywood, from the very first Black winner, Hattie McDaniel, to today's stars. This list is up-to-date as of the 95th Academy Awards, which happened on March 12, 2023.
