The United Nations General Assembly Resolution ES-10/21 is an important decision made by the United Nations General Assembly. This resolution asks for an "immediate and lasting" stop to fighting and a "humanitarian truce" in the 2023 Israel–Hamas war. A humanitarian truce means a temporary pause in fighting to allow help, like food and medicine, to reach people who need it.
The resolution also says that "all acts of violence" against people in Palestine and Israel are wrong. It demands that everyone involved must follow international laws right away. This resolution was approved by a vote of 121 countries, with 14 countries voting against it and 44 choosing not to vote. Many countries, 47 in total, helped to propose this resolution.
