The 1974 Super Outbreak was a massive tornado event that happened on April 3–4, 1974. It affected the eastern United States and parts of Ontario, Canada. During this outbreak, 148 tornadoes were confirmed, making it one of the largest and most powerful tornado outbreaks ever recorded. These tornadoes caused a lot of damage and sadly led to many deaths and injuries across several states.

Understanding the Tornadoes

Tornadoes are measured using the Fujita scale, or F-scale, which rates them from F0 (weakest) to F5 (strongest) based on the damage they cause.
